gifty cookies+free shipping= YUM

Again, what's with me being such a free shipping sap? But seriously, I get sucked in with it every time. Today, I'm craving cookies and sending gift-stuffs (it's close to Christmas, I can't help it!) and I stumbled on this:

Holiday Specials From David's Cookies

Seriously delicious looking stuff, but free shipping is what makes my knees weak. It's my Achilles Heel, if you will:)

Involves Chocolate.

Holy crap, Amazon.com has a 2LB capacity chocolate fountain for the low low price of $10.99! That's 78% off the original price! It comes with 8 fondue skewers and serving tray and has dishwasher-safe parts (wow, I already have one but it makes me want ANOTHER!) Plus if you need to get anything else on Amazon, get it all at the same time because any orders over $25 are free shipping. Throw a party just because you scored this!!

::EDIT::
Sorry, Chelsea, apparently the deal was for a short time, I'm so sorry!!! I did search around and the best price I found was here at $28.99 with an additional 5% off for St. Pats Day. Gotta snag that early worm!

Go out on the town without having to go all out

Ooooo, so I just spied this on spoofee and I'm in hunt mode. Restaurant.com lists local restaurants where you can buy $25 gift certificates there for just $10. Sounds smart? WELLLLL, hurry up folks because if you buy before February 28th and follow these handy dandy directions, you can get 60% off that - that's $4 for $25 worth of food!!

1. Go to restaurant.com.
2. Enter a zip code to shop.
3. Click Add to Cart for the certificates you'd like.
4. Click "Check Out" and enter code DINE for 60% off.
Click "Recalculate Total" to apply your savings.

As my mom says, why should I pay that much for something that is just going to turn into poop?? heehee:)

This site comes from alert cheapskate Sabrina, who manages to feed (and not strangle) a family with 4 of the cutest kiddos the planet has ever seen.

"...It's a great way to share good finds on deals with other people in your area. It's called pinchingyourpennies.com and there are different discussion forums for every state in the U.S. I'm telling ya, since I started pinching pennies a few months ago, we've had a better food storage than we have had in YEARS. I have cake mix, cookie mix, Ragu pasta sauce, tampons, deoderant, toothpaste, Mac and Cheese - all for FREE! I do it by getting the coupons that come in the newspaper every week, then holding on to them until a really good sale comes along. Then I bring in my coupons to get amazing bargains on stuff! It works!"

Thanks, girl! Keep doin' what you do and looking MAAAHHHHVELOUS at the same time!!

FEEEED me Seymore!

I hear it's cold up north (I wouldn't know, we're sweltering south o' the border!) but no matter what the weather is, it's always a good time for ice cream, especially Cold Stone! Until Wednesday February 28th, they are offering buy one get one free with a printable coupon found here.

And on the food tangent, where do YOU do your grocery shopping? In Atlanta, my hands-down-favortie place for great food prices is Aldi. It's the best place to get kitchen staples like flour, cake mixes, canned foods, and frozen foods. They generally have only one brand per item, but holy crap it's so cheap I don't care. You lose a few frills as it is a simple warehouse-type store, but you'll need to head to your local store for perishables anyway. Good for food storage-type foods. It's a German company, and I think it's still centered mainly in the south, but if you are anywhere near one, it's worth it!
